LocationBude is situated on the Atlantic Heritage Coast of North Cornwall. The hotel is in an enviable position adjacent to Summerleaze beach, with superb 180° panoramic views, spanning the town and valley of the river Neet, Efford Downs, the cliffs, harbour, beach and Atlantic. We are in a prime location along a quiet cul-de-sac, and a short stroll over the grassy downs takes you directly to Summerleaze beach. The cliffs are equally accessible via the South West Coast path, running right past the door. The town centre is a few minutes walk away where there are a variety of shops to browse as well as restaurants and tearooms to sample. The Canal is equally close, where you will find the unique sea lock, wharf-side museum, the Castle and nature reserve. The coastline both north and south from Bude is spectacularly rugged. The rock formations are so interesting that, outside of the main holiday season, we regularly entertain groups of geologists from schools, universities and industry. The area is regularly used by the film and TV industries for location shooting. Boscastle, Port Isaac, Clovelly, Hartland, Tintagel and Padstow are short drives away. Further afield, but still popular day trips from the hotel, are the Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and St Ives |
