[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Bude sits on the main National Cycle Network route NCN3 down the west side of Cornwall. This route links the Camel trail that runs from Bodmin to Padstow to the Tarka Trail stretching from Braunton to Meeth. Bude has its own recently opened and constantly developing cycle loop. This is a gentle canal and coastal route approximately 5 miles long, with around half of it traffic free.
The Camel trail passes the acclaimed Camel Valley Vineyard that is open to visitors and of course ends close to Rick Stein’s Seafood restaurant where they will happily serve you the Vineyard’s products. The Camel and Tarka trails follow old railway tracks so they offer over 40 miles of flat traffic free cycling.
There are other shorter, traffic free routes close to Bude, such as around the North Tamar lake, and the Cookworthy forest route.
All these routes run through beautiful countryside packed with wildlife and offering varying views from hills, streams, and woodlands to estuaries.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
