Sandymouth; A popular beach for a reason

The National Trust owns Sandymouth beach, and it is situated three miles north of Bude, near the Cornwall/Devon border. The distance between Atlantic House and Sandymouth makes it ideal for our guests to enjoy a circular coastal walk. Try walking along the beaches to Sandymouth at low tide, and then follow the cliff path back. Once there, you’ll be rewarded with a lovely quiet beach with its very own waterfall! 

Surfing is possible from mid to low tide.  The RNLI provides lifeguard cover from the middle of May until the middle of September.

With the parking being at the top of the cliff and the path down to the beach running through quite a steep ravine, beach access is not recommend for the less mobile.

Sandymouth’s other facilities are more easily accessible. These include a cafe, public toilets, tourist shop and first aid point. These are all open during the main summer season.

The National trust owns and mans the car park which has 200 spaces. Parking is free to members.
