Now on general release, the film includes scenes shot at several locations in our area. Most locations were just over the border in Devon, at Hartland, Clovely, Bideford or Saunton Sands; but Sandymouth in Cornwall is also featured.

We are excited because last April and May we had the privilege of being the base for some of the crew involved in filming this second world war drama. BAFTA winning costume designer Charlotte Walter, stayed with her team at Atlantic House and all our rooms were occupied by the film for 17 nights.

Some of the film’s stars, Sir Tom Courtenay, Dame Penelope Wilton and Lilly James, all ate in our restaurant.
